Memory Cards or SD card, as we all know them, is external storage memory that
we still use in our mobiles today. This SD card stands for Secure Digital.
Many of the memory cards you see on online sales sites are priced with
variations, but the storage capacity is the same, only the price varies, and
you can see the reasons for this.
Types of memory cards
These memory cards are mainly divided into three sections.SD, SDHC, SDXC are
the three main sections.
SD stands for Secure Digital, SDHC stands for Secure Digital High Capacity and
SDXC stands for Secure Digital Extended Capacity.
These SD cards are compact storage compartments that you would normally use in
your mobile with minimal storage capacity. The size of these memory cards
ranges from 128 MB to 2 GB. The capacity of this memory card is very limited.
SDHC-type memory cards were introduced as a slight upgrade after this SD card.
Its size ranges from 4GB to 32 GB. These types of cards have a unique code
printed on them. These are marked by a small circle marked Class Rating and
Speed.
Memory Card Class
There are 4 types of Class Speeds: Class 2, Class 4, Class 6, and Class 10.
These classes are all codes that indicate the speed at which data can be
transferred to your mobile phone. If it is a 10 memory card, it will transfer
10 MB of files per second to your mobile. Also in this category was the
introduction of UHS i.e. ultra High-speed memory cards. The code is U. It is
further subdivided into Phase 1 and Phase 3. Phase 1 will transfer from 50 MB
Per Sec (per second) to 100 MB. Phase 2 will transfer up to 300 MB Per Sec
(per second).
Third-party SDXC card types range in size from 64Gb to 2TB, or up to 2000 GB
of memory cards. When you use a low-capacity memory card on a high-capacity
mobile, the time it takes for the video to open, the time it takes to play and
the performance may not be perfect. Up to 8 GB of support is given on a mobile
phone, which means that your mobile phone will run fine without any
interruption.
